  As the Helioptile's nature implies, Josephine is a very serious individual. She's thoughtful and genuine, but also rude and quick to judge others actions or decisions. However, this doesn't change her well-known trusting and considerate attitude-- it takes a lot for the lizard not to care about your health or well being. She also returns that trust ten-fold, keeping things that need to be kept with her for however long it needs to be. She's also a very loyal lizard, not willing to abandon her friends or anyone she really knows. Josie is also a very studious individual-- almost studying religiously. She takes her grades and school very seriously, and you can obviously tell. The girl seems to enjoy studying just as much as reading. This Helioptile is also open-minded and flexible, willing to try things for her friends sake, her own sake, or just for the fun of it. However, she is very easily irritated, sarcastic, and snarky. If you're the type to tap your pencil in class, she isn't your biggest fan, and she isn't afraid to crack a joke at your expense. The lizard still likes you, I'm sure, but girl needs some way to blow off steam...

History: 
  On the sunny day of August 13th, a young Helioptile was born too a Goodras father and Heliolisk mother. Her name was chosen to be "Josephine." It was quite a difficultly getting a child, so the parents were happy, and were able to take care of their toddler Helioptile very well-- that is, until their company started getting hit with criminal charges that were obviously fake in the eyes of the workers, but for the public and the law system some things needed to be cleared. The parents were having less and less time for their child and enlisted the help of Josie's father's sister, a Goodras named Amilie, to help them out in taking care of their child while they'll busy with settling things with work. Being young at the time, Josie didn't really see a problem with her babysitter aunt-- she was kind but stern, helpful but not hand-holding, and helped spark the young Helioptile's interest in history and politics.

  However, soon school started for the lizard, and her parents were still busy with work, leaving the lizard only her aunt to rely on for help. Truthfully, Josephine was excited. Her interest is some things were already sparked, so being able to learn more about them in a professional environment is ideal, right? Unfortunately, her fellow students disagreed. Unlike her mother, Josephine was born bald thanks to some genes on her father's side. She never saw a problem with it early on, but once she started school, her classmates found it hilarious their was a bald girl in their class, and she was the victim of endless amount of teasing. At first, she ignored it, focusing on her studies and picking up some hobbies to entertain herself. When spring came around, though, her Dry Skin ability started acting up, leading to more teasing. What lizard, especially a Helioptile, hates the sunlight? What lizard enjoys the rain more than the sun?

  The young girl nearly had enough, but was no quitter. She wasn't about to let some bad eggs ruin her life at school. That is what she kept on telling herself. She talked to her aunt some about this, but Josie convinced her it was no big deal-- just kids being kids. Her parents caught some wind but never had the time to sit down and talk to her about it. The worse of Josie's bullying ironically came at the best time-- her parents finally were able to help the company put those charges to rest-- and got one hell of a promotion thanks to it. Josephine was asked by a teacher to pick up something from the closet for recess, and her classmates had this 'hilarious' idea-- why not lock her in when the teacher wasn't looking? 

  Their plan was a bit cruel, especially by children standards, but it worked. One acted as a diversion so the teacher wouldn't be paying attention to Josephine, while the others would steal the keys and lock her in. it worked like a charm, and before Josephine knew it, she was stuck. Once again though, the Helioptile refused to be a quitter. She tried to escape the closest by climbing on the shelves, but she underestimated how sturdy they were. Before she knew it, timber they fell, right on top of her, and she was stuck in a dimly lit closest only hearing the laughter of some cruel classmates outside. The teacher eventually came back, and with a fury. After she got out the crying young lizard, she scolded the children to no end, and reported their actions to the principal. The Teacher also contacted Josie's parents, and told them what happened, apologizing for her absence in the situation. 

  Understandably, The McRains were furious. They scolded the school as a whole for their handling of the whole thing, and while the bullies did get suspended, they weren't happy. After they were done criticizing them, they pulled Josie out, and sent her to a private academy near by-- after her mom bought her a wig to help her insecurity. This school went better than the last one-- despite Josie's rather rude attitude to her fellow students and respectful attitude to the teachers, she managed to snag a few friends. They put up with her rudeness for a while, and soon saw her nature underneath, and greatly appreciative their new found friend. Things were going easier, Josie was able to spend more time with her family and friends finally, their were less jerks to deal with, and she was gaining a bit of self confidence.

  However, all good things must come to an end. The School announced their sudden closing this coming summer, due to running out of funds and losing staff. The students body soon was scampering to find their next schools, or personal tutors. The McRains were at a complete lost, though. They kept searching and searching, but nothing seemed to be the right fit. The parents refused to send her to Public school again, and none of their private and boarding school choices seemed right. It wasn't until their summer vacation they found what seemed to be the right fit. The McRains cycle through various summer vacations in Humilau City in Unova, Lilycove City in Hoenn, and Sunyshore City in Sinnoh. This summer, it was Sunyshore, and the family saw an ad for a certain prestigious academy in Hearthome. At first it didn't catch Josie's eye, but reading more and more about it, it seemed like a perfect fit. After much debate within the family, they agreed to send in an application, and rely on private tutors until the reply. 

  As luck would have it, Josephine was accepted. She said her goodbyes, made sure her contacts were up to date, and packed her things. This third school should be the charm, right?

    As time passed, it seemed it didn't. Josephine's parents noticed she was not much happier a year into the school sense she arrived-- she had more friends finally, but mood, attitude, and temper did not improve as much as they hoped. In fact, it seemed to have gotten worse. They were getting worried. Then, Josie asked for permission to go through a quick exchange program-- only two weeks-- to Mortiel's rival, Armonia. It was a different experience, but Josie seemed to be happy and better control on her temper. Her parents noticed she sounded happier too. So they made a decision: they're going to try and get Josie transferred to Armonia. They went to Hearthome to talk to their baby girl face to face about this, and after some thought, Josie agreed. They talked to the school officials, worked out the paper work, and got ready to send her to a new school, one they all believed will do what she was hoping for. To Armonia!

Moveset:

HM/TM/Egg/Tutors/Special:
Surf (HM)-It swamps the area around the user with a giant wave. It can also be used for crossing water. A move Josie loves to rely on-- a wave of water appears under her and she, well, surfs the opponent. You may be a bit... damp, afterwards.
Rain Dance (TM)-The user summons a heavy rain that falls for five turns, powering up Water-type moves. Josie's dream move. She dances rhythmically and summons rain to fall all around. Beware-- when this is used with Surf and/or Thunder, it can hurt.
Thunder (TM)-A wicked thunderbolt is dropped on the target to inflict damage. It may also leave the target with paralysis. A more recent move of hers. She's conducts all her excess electricity in a concentrated, epic attack of lighting bolts. 
Hidden Power (TM)-A unique attack that varies in type depending on the Pokémon using it. Basically a sludge wave comes after you. Or sludge storm, depends on Josie's movements. As a wave, it can be compared to water pulse, as a storm, basically rain dance with poison. 
Outrage (Shard)-The user rampages and attacks for two to three turns. It then becomes confused, however. One of Josie's few physical attacks, she barrages her opponent time after time before finally confusing herself.
Aqua Tail (Fusion)-The user attacks by swinging its tail as if it were a vicious wave in a raging storm. Don't mess with the girls tail or you'll have a mouthful of water. And not the good time.
Aqua Ring (Fusion)-The user envelops itself in a veil made of water. It regains some HP on every turn. One of josie's few defensive moves. She does a praying motion and healing rings surround her for a set amount of time.
Whirlpool (Fusion)-Traps foes in a violent swirling whirlpool for four to five turns. Josephine fires a whirlpool at you. You think I'm joking but just watch the anime. 
Rapid Spin (Tutor by Coach)-A spin attack that can also eliminate such moves as Bind, Wrap, Leech Seed, and Spikes.

Extra/Trivia:
*She picked up a "bad mouth" habit from her father, but in agreement with her family she tries to hide it into ill-intelligent grunts and groans. If she's close to saying an untasted word or sentence, she does a last second word swap and usually tries to drop the conversation.
*Supposedly her other aunts and uncles are all over Kalos, but she doesn't see them too often. She honestly forgot if she has cousins or not.
*Her parents had quite the trouble even having a baby, and while they always wanted another, between work and not spending enough time with Josie (as they all feel) as a kid they regretfully made her an only child. They considered adoption but it's rather expensive even for them, and again they felt whoever the adoptee may be they should have a family that can actually keep a good eye on the kid.
*The company Josie's parents works for is a cellphone company, and when they finished beating the false charges all personnel active during that period unlimited amount of cell phones if they stay with the company.
*The above fact plays into Josie's habit of having a new phone every 3 months (or less). She doesn't want a new one, but seeing as shes not the most active lady with her skills she has a lot of built-up electricity. She frequently shorts out the batteries of her phones.
*Josie also makes it a mission to make her old phones available for others, they just need to get a new battery. 
*Not well versed in the entertainment world except for books and frequently needs others to tell her about something.
*Not a very strong battler. She may store up a lot of power but she isn't sure how to use it correctly, so when she does battle its more skill and smarts then power and anything else. Actually, battling may be her worse class (next to some maths.)
*Do to her desire of wanting siblings but it never happening she calls close friends "bro" or "sis" as a alternative. 
*Her family frequently does family wide bets for laughs, a common one is "how long will the phone last Josie (or her mother)?"
*Josie's Asexual. Currently won't express if she's also aromatic or have a romantic preference. 
*Based on a Heliolisk I used in my Y play-through, also named Josie. They have different natures and characteristics though. Also, originally she had the catch date for my Heliolisk, but I liked the idea of her being a Leo so... Additionally, they share the same ability.
*Not anymore! Thanks to a very kind friend, Josie has obtained an Ability Capsule and change it. 
*Her clothes are usually dresses or shirts and skirts, she likes the feel of them more than actually pants. She still ejoys wearing stockings and tights, somehow. 
*Her name was driven from my In-game Heliolisk. Josie is a common nickname for Josephine, and McRains is partly for joke value back on her species and ability. Amalie was driven from her aunts name, for in-story reasons and out. Actually, Amalie was suppose to be her aunts name but when I original wrote the history it was Amlie and seeing it bare a vowel I added the Amilie instead of Amalie, because I'm forgetful. 
*Her favorite book series is always those that lack romance, or has it very small doses. She enjoys sci-fi and supernatural the most.
*As mentioned in history, she wants to be either an historian or politician. More-so politician.
*Frequently suffers from homesickness, not as an extreme case, but can make her more gloomy or irritable one day compared to another.
*Her father taught her how to surf one summer vacation, it took the whole break but she managed to master it. 
*Her family is one of the few that doesn't also speak Kalos-French in their giant family tree, the reason being "they never saw the point." Her mom does speak some german, however, and she picked up that.
*Despite being a victim to bullying at that first school, to the point of having to be pulled out, she doesn't really think its a big issue. It's just the few who do bully make it seem like a much bigger issue.
*Has claustrophobia, basically it's the only time you'll see her cry or break down is when she's in a tight space. 
*She's also blushes easily when embarrassed, sincerely praised or anything similar.

*Josephine is pronounced both as JO-sə-feen (English) and yo-ze-FEE-nə (German), but typically uses the English. It's usually her mother that uses the German.
*However, Josie is only pronounced JO-zee.
*Josie's closest friends at her old school is a Slyveon named Nico and a Semisear named Snicks. She still keeps in contact with both. Snicks is actually the one to coin her Jojo nickname and convinced her to use Josie more as her actual name.
*Isn't the biggest fan of her birthday or christmas, so she tries to lay low during both. 
*After the ski lodge visit, Josie gain a pet. A Pachirisu named Sparky Patch McRains.
*Even though Josie is no longer healed by rain, she does feel a lot more relaxed and at ease when it is raining. 
*Her favorite moves are Parabolic Charge, Bulldoze, Surf, Thunder, and Rain Dance. She also enjoys using Thunder Wave when she can.
*Wears a Mystic Water, mostly to add a bit of personality to her attire.
*Upon transferring to Armonia, Josie brought her Sun Stone, Mystic Water, Lunar Wing, and used TMs with her. The Used TMs are more of a collection thing.
